Back to School: Mum + Child Workshop

Make something together before the year begins.

The last Sunday before term starts belongs to you and your child. No packing lists, no uniform hunting — just three hours at the table, making things with your hands.

At Zen Art Palm Jumeirah Mall, we’ve built a morning around three experiences designed to be done together, not side by side.

What you’ll make

01 · Paint Your Fakhara
A traditional clay pot, yours to design. Choose your palette, work the brush, and leave with a piece that sits on a shelf at home long after the school year has started. Glazes, brushes and guidance all provided.

02 · Say It Out Loud
Part art, part conversation. Your child traces their hand and fills it with the words they want to carry into the new year — brave, kind, creative. Mums make one too. It’s the station parents tell us they didn’t expect to love.

03 · The Slime Lab
The messy one. Mixing, stretching, glitter, the whole thing. Take-home containers included.

Price: AED 200 per mum + child pair · AED 75 per additional sibling
Ages: Best suited to 6 and up
Included: All materials, take-home pieces from every station, refreshments throughout, and an apron for each guest
